Body Weight Exercises: What to Do Ahead

A few things to know before going into your workouts:no equipment workout

  1. Warm-up (before your workout) and cooldown (after your workout) for 10 minutes each.  Use cardio equipment, jog in place, skip rope or go for a brisk walk.  Any of those options work, but please take your warm-up and cooldown as seriously as your workout.  You’ll thank me.
  2. Drink plenty of water before, during and after your workout.  An ideal amount is 32 ounces at a time.
  3. Push yourself to get it done efficiently yet safely (in good form).  Limit your rest time between sets until you have no rest at all.
  4. Write down how you do in a journal
  5. Delegate an accountability partner.  This person will know what you are shooting for and will hold a flame to your ass when you are falling off course.  Choose wisely!
  6. Have fun and post your results
