Goal Setting is for Failures

Yep, I caught your attention with something you maybe missing in your workout plan – goal setting. Why don’t people set goals? Is it really all that it’s cracked up to be? What is the big deal anyway?

Why People DON’T Do Goal Setting

In my opinion, it is one of the following:

  1. Skeptical – they don’t believe goal setting works
  2. Previous disappointments – burned once, so why try twice?
  3. Fear – scared of failing
  4. Lazy – no ambition
  5. Beyond the comfort zone
  6. Instant gratification – I want it now!

Who Has Used Goal Setting?

It doesn’t have to be that way for you and here is why:

  • Bill Gates – his first business failed
  • Stephen King – his first novel was rejected over 30 times
  • Jim Carrey – used to be homeless
  • Thomas Edison – failed 1,000 times before creating the light bulb

They share the same thing with all the other successful people in history. Did they blindly wander from one success to the other? Or, was it synchronicity? No, it was setting a goal and sticking to it. And, when adversity hit hardest, they came back fighting.

How to Goal Set Like a Champion

Instead of failing and falling down, try to fail forward to your next success. Use this simple acronym for planning your next big goals:

It’s so simple that most people won’t do it. However, I have every bit of faith that you will set goals. Do you need help goal setting? Then message me and I will do my best to assist you in hashing out what makes sense for you. No charge or upsell, I promise. I love to help you and would love seeing you become successful.

Also, feel free to join me in my closed group Diet & Exercise Support Group! on Facebook. It’s a safe place where a few other friends and I love to interact. That’d be a great place to share your goals, possibly mastermind solutions and gain support.

In the meantime, start goal setting, fail a lot and keep pushing forward. After all, if Edison failed a thousand times to bring us a light bulb…

Till later,
